| 9 Feb 2006 | Jessica R. Small | Aawwww, no comments? Well then I'll give a first comment hug to the poor not-hobbit imp. Beautiful colours, they capture the mood well. I feel sorry for the poor guy - its not nice to be ostracised. Thanks for visiting my page and commenting! John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thank you for the comment. After I colored this I felt like I wanted to give him a hug too. *there there it's ok. We won't let those mean ol' fairy creatures hurt you anymore... what's that? You want me to beat them up? Um.... I'll get back to you on that...*" | |
| 10 Feb 2006 | Jessica E. Jeffries | I think the original suits it better, but then again, I'm a bit too depressing so... John-Clayton Wilson replies: "I totally agree with you. The pencil shading suits the mood more. I just wanted to see how it looked with color. I like this, but the original is still my fav. Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 23 Apr 2006 | Polenth Blake | Aw, poor little imp. The variety of the other kids is fun, like the little frog prince. I prefer this coloured version. It has more of a children's book feel with the colours. Kinda highlights more how they're having fun, and he isn't. John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thank you. It does have that kinda feel to it doesnt it?? Poor little imp. Even fairy creatures feel alone sometimes..." | |
| 11 May 2006 | Gully Dwarves Rule | That was supposed to be an e-mail not a comment. Mind you if you would like to make my day, ylu can send me a picture of Bupu and other gully dwarves. | |
| 11 May 2006 | Gully Dwarves Rule | I love this picture. I hoped it was a gully dwarf. Would you consider drawing bupu the gully dwarf in an original setting like this. I am an invalid confined to bed most of the time by a debilitating illness. I have been asking various artists to do this favor for me. My nephew bought me this computer to connect with the world outside of my room I am not asking for pity--just explaining why this would mean so much to me. If you need any prayers, I have plenty of those. Thanks in advance. I look forward to hearing from you. Drummerboy Peggy | |
| 19 May 2006 | Casey Rae Vange | Wow--great coloring job! I especially like how that golden light is streaming through the holes in the sky (at least I think they're holes, sorry if I'm wrong!), you made the yellow blend so well with the blue, which I know can be really hard! The whole thing is so smooth & bright without being too bright. I'm not sure if you used prismacolors but I know those can be insanely bright sometimes. Also, I really like the crazy border--it adds a lot to the piece. Great job on his dejected expression, as well--I truly feel sad for him! John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thanks. I believe I used prismacolor pencil crayons or just regular ones. I wanted a colored version to see how it would look like. And yes, the sunlight is coming through gaps in the canopies. Thanks for noticing that!I drew this for a little friend of mine that was being bullied at school so I felt bad for him. Bullies are evil buggers and should all die!!! Meh... going now." | |
| 25 Jul 2006 | Emily Rose Betzler | Hey, at least he gets the swing all to himself... Really great picture here, it brings across a message rather vividly. This is a blown up version of what happens everyday for thousands of kids. I really like the emotion, ( and I really like his toenails), overall a lovely picture! Great gallery! John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Thanks. I wanted the message to be apparent. And he does get the swing to himself...but who'll be there to give him a push?" | |
| 14 Aug 2006 | Anonymous | poor thing * sighs * they be nice to him right I've always known how it feels to be left out Fox Pirate John-Clayton Wilson replies: "Awww.....don't feel left out. *hugs you* A lot of people feel that way sometimes, but there is always a brighter side to life! I've been there before, believe me! Just look at the people who are important to you and you will feel a lot better!" | |
| 17 May 2007 | Sara Martinez | There is only one thing to say........ WOW! | |
| 7 Apr 2008 | Johanna Nothing | aw, it’s ok little guy! *hugs him* Edward will keep you company. *hands him over to Edward, imaginary friend, and MEB (My Emo Buddy), turns around-- Edward and MEB’s faces immediately go all evil & the Outcast Guy gets afraid*
Edward: Aw, it’s alright little guy. We just want to see how fast our new pet T-Rex can run.
MEB: *throws him in pit w/ pet & watch gleefully... until I catch them...*
Me: *sneaks up &pushes them into pit, pulls out Outcast Guy & both watch as MEB & Edward are chased by their pet T-Rex* Justice is sweet.
Outcast Guy: So is revenge....
