SciFi and Fantasy Art: Al'Lan Madragoran

al'Lan Mandragoran, from Jordan's Wheel of Time. The first real picture I've drew after getting back into art. I feel the 'comic book' quality is a little too pronounced. Drawn on 8 1/2'x11' printer paper.

I love this picture, it is the most realistic drawing I have seen so far on Elfwood.
To the person who called this figure a butt monkey ought to watch his manners. This type of ignorance is not needed.
real constructive criticism on this site please.

A good drawing but I wouldn't call that Lan. Lan has an elegance to him, a hardness but still handsome and smooth. Your picture I would say portrays him as too rough and hard. Too bulky to be graceful in battle and attractive to ladies. Like I said, a great drawing but not what I would call Lan.

Where is the heron hilt on the blade! where is his golden scabbard! It is a nice (drawing) but not so nice image of LAN that i've had. sorry

I really like this pic...not exactly what I would call Lan as others have said but i still think it catches a bit of what he is...
And BTW there's no heron on Lan´s sword...think u ought to read the books more carefully

Lan's face fits my mental portrayed in the books, but I agree with another who said he needs to become more graceful.

Brilliant pic. I have met Lan and he has a bolder chin. Walk in the light my children.

I like this, but don't think it's Lan, he's a bit too chunky. Like it says that Nynaeve likes his broard shoulders and his cat-like grace and I think he is too muscular. Try slimming him down, stomache, arms and legs and you'd have it.
The head is good, handsome, unforgiving, unemotional, scary. lol i can't be the only 1 who is scared of Lan, I mean, think about it. lol.
You draw well though, nice work that I've seen so far.
