SciFi and Fantasy Art: Don't hate me because I'm unusual

This little creature is something I whipped up out of boredom one day. I call it a serpentine, or serpentine flower. The idea is that the funny things on its neck are supposed to resemble petals. When closed, they make the thing look like an exotic flower. It stands upright on its tail to add to the effect. When it senses prey, which is what the frond things on the petals are for, it strikes. Mainly its diet consists of insects and small rodents, stuff like that.
