| 22 Feb 2006 | Kelley A. Pierog | I like this very much! the shading is great... I especially like her necklace! Is that a giant spider corpse in the background??? YUCK! Jon Ringsevjen replies: "Thanks. Actually the spider in the background is supposed to be a huge temple dedicated to the spider queen Lolth. The two black dots under the spider's jaws is supposed to be people to show the scale. Guess I didn't quite succeed on this one. Hehe." | |
| 15 Sep 2006 | Anonymous | This is a very good picture of Vierna, also one of my favorite characters who I really felt sympathy for. Keep up the good work, you did a good job on this one. Jon Ringsevjen replies: "Thanks a lot! I am quite happy with this one. As an afterthought I wish I had refined this a bit more... Ah, well." | |
| 3 Jul 2007 | Sarah S. Flanagan | First, the nit-picky stuff: -I think her face should have more shading; drow skin should be black skin all over and then put light highlights in on the cheekbones, forehead, etc. As oppossed to white skin which is just shading the dark areas, which is what it looks like you did -If it's a temple to Lolth, it should be a spider body and a drow head eh? Now the good stuff: -It's a really neat picture! It's not how I see her in my head, but obviously everyone's different. the background IS good, I did notice the people. It might not look right because of the legs I am thinking,i.e. a building that big couldn't hold stone legs like that. But hey with drow architects it's probably possible Anyway, I'm taking up a ton of room, so I'll shut up now. It's overall a VERY good drawing though. oh and since no one else did: *first comment waltz* | |
