SciFi and Fantasy Art: Dak'Veik Okateen

Ohhhyah! this pic blows my mind. Unlike my other wizard pic (which I deleted out of shame) this one is the shazbot. MMMMmmmHmmmm. I drew this one for someone who requested it. Who if, by the way is reading this should probably e-mail me, as I seem to have lost their e-mail -_-;;; darn mom deleting my e-mail list while I'm on vacation

This is so cool! I like how you ink it! Very cool design!!! He looks really evil, at least dark. Such neat drawing!

ah, yes, the sacred rune of Pi (bottom of the front of the robe). It brings great power... you know, like finding the radius of a circle. Um.... my buddy here says that your picture is indeed shazbot. 2

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "hey what about above pi, there's delta for change and omega 10 my ability to make up sacred runes is pretty bad, I know I know."

I like the sense of action! And the lines are incredibly smooth! The image reminds me of a friend's D&D character, a sorcerer. I'll have to show him this.... Oh, also, where do you get those pens and about how much do they cost?

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "heck, the pens I use you can buy almost anywhere. they're just small felt pens. Officially, pen and ink SHOULD be done with a crow quill (calligraphy pen really) and ink, but I push so hard I break the tips and tear the paper. so I use Statler or jellyroll inking pens. You can buy those in any art store in packs of several, with differnt tip sizes, or individually and choose you preferrable tip size. I usually do small detail work with a 005 or 01 tip and regular work with 03 and 05, thicker lines and boarders I use 07 and giant felts ^_^"

Devon, I am seriously in love with and inspired by this picture. It's not often I find a picture that just makes me look on with awe and go: "Woah." But this pic does it. I am truly, truly impressed. Good job!

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "thanks so much "

Heh... He´s great. Good use of contrast and inking. But i do wonder about the use of greek letters on the revers. 12

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "heh I can't make up symbols to save my life. Thank the good lord for the greek alphabet"

:-) Devon Jopling replies: "Yeah sure. But if you want to post it on the net anywhere, make sure it can be linked back to me with my name or e-mail addy or elfwood address"

Hi Devon. Great mage that B/W style has something in it :-P Great pose, expression in face. He is quite calm buddy. He seems to me . I know I am wrong. 1 I drow only one wizard and used dynamical pose. Which is not so dynamical indeed. Strange to be honest 1 But everybody has its style. Your pics are great.
