SciFi and Fantasy Art: Comic cover concept

This was originally going to be the comic cover for my ongoing comic book project. I changed my mind and decided to go with something else, but kept the rough sketch in my binder. One day I finally decided to finish the darn piece and get it inked. It's still pretty nice.. and ohhh! a background! don't see that too often ^_^ hehe. ah well.. although it didn't make it to my comic, it's still a nice piece.
