SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Last Stand

This is so not sloppy. I wish I could draw even half this good. My drawings don't even compare to this. Well anyway, I love the blue dress and she looks like she'd be a good fighter. The dragons are cute and this picture is so good.

I love the dress, but hate the boots. Her heads too big for her body!

I love this!!! It doesn't matter with the boots, or that the head is "too big." What matters is that you caught intense emotion quite well and pulled it off with beautiful color and awesome shading. You got your point across and that's what matters. This woman is determined to live and she will do whatever she can to make this happen.

I love the color composition of this piece very much, and I really like her dress - it almost looks like it is of stained glass or the like. However, if I may, I have some constructive criticism to give...
The first thing that caught my attention when I viewed this piece was the fact that she seemed slightly disproportionate. Reading the comments, I found out that she was boots - these were slightly difficult to differentiate between the ground and the leather at first - and while this helped balance her out more proportionally, I still found it hard to continually see her with the boots and the dress, so you may want to consider darkening those, or darkening/lightening up the ground. One last thing that bothers me slightly is her hair - while it is drawn beautifully, it seems as though there is too much of it, in my opinion, or not enough movement to it - it's just a brown, curved column behind her. And I'm afraid that I do have to agree with dramaqueen, but her head is a bit too big for her body.
All in all, it is a good piece, and I hope you don't mind my giving you constructive criticism. Keep drawing!

I wouldn’t call it sloppy, the color and composition are excellent, and the artwork itself is a very cool style However, I find that her head is a little disproportionately large, and her body below the waiste is too short proportionally with the top half (excluding the overly-large head) I really like the image put together, but I thought I’d mention the proportional discrepencies
