| 13 May 2003 | Andrea 'Terminus' Tee Shao-Wen | Love the textures, especially the ones on the floor. THis is beautiful, Jamie! Hurray for updates! Jamie Goodliffe replies: "Oh, yes, good textures. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a better wood texture, so it's a bit of a fuzzy low resolution one. It will do. Thanks " | |
| 28 May 2003 | Jim Lamar | Nother cool idea...Kind of a blades mace club....Look kinda heavy i think i lift but swing it accuratly....Dont think so but then again i am a computer wuss.....Oh you can make some pretty convising woodgrain textures in photoshop 5 and up....Send me a e-mail if you want to know how Jamie Goodliffe replies: "Thanks for the comment. Yes, I designed this weapon to be used like a mace. And if you've ever held a mace, they certainly are damned heavy. The edges are not any where near sharp enough to cut anything, but since pressure=force/area, it should in theory do a fair bit of bludgeoning damage. The star shape is ceremonial only. The wood texture is there because I couldn't be bothered to look for a better one. I prefer to use photos as image maps, rather than created ones. The seamless stone you can see here is one of my favourites (if a bit limited)." | |
| 10 Jul 2003 | Irina Goodwin | Hm. Well, whatever you did with the light really seems to have worked. This is certainly more subtle than some of your other pictures which gives it a pleasant kind of soft intensity. Yep. It works very well. Jamie Goodliffe replies: "I'm getting better at the lighting technique all the time Hopefully my art will all look very real soon." | |
