SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bird of prey?

Well, again, another one in my avian theme. I found this one in my old sketchbook so I thought I would add it. I'm not sure if I like this one or not, it is kind of hard to tell the front from the back....BTW the front is to the right.

I love this picture, and I am honestly debating having it tatooed over my shoulder blade to under my arm. I would like the artists premission first though... Anyhow it reminds me of a thunderbird from legend
