SciFi and Fantasy Art: Little Miss MuffetFebruary 2000 I'd just gotten my scanner, so I took the opportunity to make the black background a true black. At times, I think I'd have done better to have uploaded the Non-Computer Enhanced version instead, but oh well. This drawing always makes me smile. :) I like to wonder about the story behind it. Like whether or not she realizes that big spider is behind her, heheh! Yep, same old mechanical pencil. | |
 | | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 12 Oct 2000 | The ME | spiders are icky.... but i'll bet you love em' huh?? LOLHeheh, funny. Actually, I still hate 'em as much as ever... Pretty blonde girls however... Ü | |
| 13 Nov 2000 | Jonas Peter Biørn | This is great. The thing lurking in the darkness behind her looks like someone i know...Ü I think It's someone we all get to know sooner or later... | |
| 1 Dec 2000 | Jayme | Eency weency spider went up the water spout; down came the rain and washed the spider out, up came the sun and dried up all the rain and the eency weency spider went up the spout again. Then it snuck up behind a naked girl and bit her on the butt. And she enjoyed every minute! ...ya dumb blonde funny-girl. Ü | |
| 7 Jan 2001 | Gillian Meredith | Hey, not all dumbs are blonde...or was it? (hehehe) I happen to be blonde meself, and I ain't stoopid. Yeah. Don't know where that came from. Ahem. This is quite the interesting pic (I seem to be using that word alot!) And boy do I hate spiders...eeee! *wonders why the girl is hanging out naked in some strange cave anyway!*Hi, BLONDIE. Yeah, spiders suck! I don't know why she's there; maybe you should ask her, mwa haha!... | |
| 22 Jan 2001 | Erin Stevenson O'Connor | Her face reminds me of ... me. Which is going to creep me out if I think about it too much. I don't like spiders much, and this is weird, because my ex was afraid of spiders, and I thought --think -- that's really cute. Y'know -- what? A sign of weakness? Never! Eeeeep! A spider bit me on the rear!HAHA! Ü Yeah, I'm the world's worst arachnophobe, probably, which is one reason this one was fun to draw... hard to explain, but it was! Ü Maybe I subconsciously modelled her face after you, which would be really odd, since I didn't know you then... hmm... Blah. i'm allowed to say things that don't make sense. I'm tired. =) Thanks for commenting, Erin. | |
| 20 Feb 2001 | Christopher Martin | Mmmmm, step into my parlor......~_^LOL | |
| 2 May 2001 | Gabbo | OK, she is actually the spider's "daughter", and she is there to lure men into the cave, where the spider will devour them. How's that? OF course, then she might need a more seductive look on here face, and longer hair (personal preferece, I know). That spider is freaky. I hate spiders, and always step on them when I can. I guess this time the tables are turned!Hmm.. That's not a bad story. I, too, am quite the arachniphobe, which explains much why it's in shadow, heheh. Thanks for dropping in! | |
| 14 May 2001 | Rebecca Meriel | thats soo coolness! hehe=D Glad you approve! | |
| 30 Jan 2002 | Kathia Amnell | Allrighty, few things and I'll leave the arachnophobes in peace 1) I agree, the breasts are a bit too round (I know. As a woman, I've got some. Sorry, I sound vulgar, I'm usually not!) 2) That comment about dumb blondes? I represent that remark. haha, jk. (OK, I give up, i AM a blond! *runs away from herself in mock terror on the runaway hamster wheel from heck*) 3) Not sure about the one in which her feet are entwined, but I especially love the shading on the spiderweb connected to "Spider Lady"'s torso... gorgeous 4) Did I mention you're not half bad yourself? (*giggles* sorry, couldn't resist!) Joshua T Smith replies: "1) You do? Thanks for sharing! Yeah, actually, the "big, comic breast" thing is a bad habit I picked up from comic books that I'm still trying to break. If I ever get some newer stuff posted, perhaps I'll have improved. Maybe 2) Yeah, blondes are okay. 3) Yeah, the webbing would prolly look better if I knew jack about computer coloring (even if it's just black!); I've considered replacing this one with the "non-computer enhanced" version, to make it all look for evenly shaded.4) Don't apologize!!! Thanks for the compliment and all of your comments!!" | |
| 6 May 2002 | Roxanne Hancock | (I can't believe I'm going to write this!!) Alright. About the "anatomy issue" I think her breasts are fine. *I* have breasts like that...it IS possible! However, the rest of her I don't have!!! Anyway, if she were laying like that, they'd be...uh...hanging down more on the vertical. They sort of stick out here on an angle, like they're stiff, and made of silicone , and breasts that are THAT full wouldn't do that. They're not filed with air....they're HEAVY for Pete's sake! (Also, It ain't all what it's cracked up to be either......I don't ever have any gorgeous men beating down my door or anything! Gah. Too much information!!!! Joshua T Smith replies: "LOL; You're right on all counts about the gravity thing, of course. Once again, the comic-book-breasts bug rears its ugly head! I appreciate your personal insight, and promise to work on more... realistic... female torsos! " | |
