SciFi and Fantasy Art: Elmdor Tidd

Well the last name reveals that this one is related to Moc and yes he is basically his son (though the one who RPed this character is nowhere to be seen...at least for a long while) This pic is actually my very first 'illustration' done by using a computer... Tell you what I used 'Paintbrush' of Windows 3.1 to do it. After finishing this pic I 've got a rather steady hand when I 'm using a mouse. Yes the hand is a bit strange when I did that pic I was like.... 15?

You're dexterously great!!! How did you do it? Well, I'm not good enough but I love to draw in Paintbrush and I have a lot of artworks done in it too. You can visit my site at http://artistrhoel.homestead.com/prototype.html and if you have time "vote for me" there. Can I see some more of your Paintbrush masterpieces?

That is really good for paintbrush. How did you soften the edges on your picture and shade? I'd love to know your secret...so...E-MAIL ME! LoL. I myself don't have the money for Adobe or Paintshop, so I have to use paintbrush for now. Lately, I have been opening the file in an imaging program and "bluring" the sketch to soften the edges and shade hair, and then copying back into paintbrush. I know this is cheating, but it is all I can do with my limited budget. Add to that the fact that I am scannerless...ANYHOW...LoL...E-MAIL me oh great paintbrush god!

Windows 3.1 Paintbrush? (shudders, having a VERY good idea how fustrating that must have been) Fabulous!

No WAY that was Paintbrush in 3.1. How do you DO that stuff using Paintbrush? Like the yellow part on the sleeve and the the shading and the...everything. Wow. It's not perfect, but it's very impressive for Paintbrush.

The texture of that yellow sleeve is done by repetitive random lines weaving together, and after that enhance the effect by cutting and pasting, thus creating something like that. The most tricky (and time-wasting) part is the glowing greenish "aura". I was stupid enough to pick several level of green, build up the tones "layer by layer" (of course there wasn't any layer feature in Paintbrush... in this case it stands for ...well, PAINT.)

Love the picture. Looks like a comic book drawing. Even a Jacket cover for a sci-fi book. Love the name too.
