| 15 Feb 2006 | Victoria Ashton | how sweet. i love it, along with all your other work Very good indeed. Do you sell any of your work? You could make a lot of money, loads of people would buy them! Julianne Sizemore replies: "Yeah actually I make a pretty good living off of it. There have only been a couple of pieces I have done that haven't sold, and I only have one that is still in my possession. I'd still do them even if I didn't get paid though, I'm, having way too much fun. " | |

| 20 Mar 2006 | Beth Schwartz | how adorable! I've noticed that you make a lot of trees...did you have a lot of scrapes and bruises as a child? did you find lots of bird's nests? no, my real question is: what inspired you to make trees out of these materials? they really are quite beautiful. Julianne Sizemore replies: "I guess you could say I am a bit of a tree hugger. I work outside in a very rural area during the summer and fall months, and I'm around a lot of trees. They all seem to have personalities, and there are all kinds of dramas going on with them if you really look for it. I'm just a very visual person, and tend to see a lot of things that aren't there to the casual observer. I'm also very enthralled with the concept of being rooted to one spot. Imagine if you could never have a change of scenery, or just go visit another area. You'd have to have a real appreciation for other things, like colors, seasons, and things that just happen by. It would be a whole new way of looking at life.I don't think any other materials that I have available would work with these trees. At least without the apoxie it would be rather difficult. That stuff is incredibly strong." | |
| 20 Mar 2006 | CrystalGryphon | Is that a spider-web between her fingers that she is looking at?? Wow... Gosh, I have looked at your entire gallery and you are just fantastic. I really admire you for having the patience to go through the time it takes to do each sculpture and for sticking with it to get this good... AGH!!! I am soooooo jealous!! Now that I have that out of my system, GREAT WORK AND KEEP IT UP!!!!! Julianne Sizemore replies: "lol Thanks! Yeah I did the spider web as a sort of "fan" that the giesha is holding. Took forever to do. I had done one other spider wbe before, but they aren't easy. I had to glue a lot of fishing line in place to pull it off. Pain in the rear really." | |
