SciFi and Fantasy Art: A sword (colored)

Okay, now you have to take into account that this is my very first cged pic EVER. So be nice, and tell me what I can do to make the next one better, okay? Now I know how HARD it is to cg something...goodness, this one took me FOREVER!!! And it is definitely NOT just point and click...

nice. my constructive criticism: work on the shading. it's very nice near the bottom there but there's not much shading anywhere else. overall, very well done, especially for your first cg. i know how hard it is, and again, for your first time it's amazing. keep it up. =)

Ooops! Here it is, colored! Simply marvellous. Your shading and color choices certainly enhanced the original design. I especially like the lighting, and how you made it glow.

excellent for a first and otherwise. nice and clean; you didn't fall into the smudge/clouds/lensflares trap most people do with their first CG works, and for that I am grateful. *g* it looks great.

The glow is amazing, I love the way it fades at the bottom. The blade is well drawn and I love the handle. This is really impressive for a first time CG!! I read the above comments and I agree with your Boyfriend Eric about that TWAT who left a negative comment. Just see it as a compliment, you must have moved something in him/her to let them take a time out of their scedule to write something. It's just unfortunate that this person has brain dammage and can't write anything remotely sensible 2
