SciFi and Fantasy Art: Birthplace

A mist dragon returns to its now-desolate birthplace. This took me several dozen hours to finish... Ack. Most of it was the dragon, I half-assed the background in only two hours, maybe a bit less than that. It's all done in 2h mechanical pencil on normal printer paper. Thanks to the Smashing Pumpkins, Stabbing Westward, Greenday, the Offspring, and various other bands for composing albums that are still worth listening to, even through and after the 30+ hours it must have taken me to complete this drawing...

Wow. All that time you spent on the image definately shows! The texturing and perspective is wonderful!

Excellent job on the wings and the scales. 30+ hours though? You should try using darker pencils. It is hard to do a drawing justice done in just 2H with a scanner.

The detail and shading is magnificent! If only you could make it a little sharper..easier for us to see..I love this loads!
