SciFi and Fantasy Art: Memory

He stared out at the ocean, struck by its beauty. Unfortunately, such a view brought him no joy.

'Why did you leave me?

He could hear her voice, carried on every wave, echoing in his mind. She had always wanted to see the ocean...she never did.

He looked out at the endless expanse, remembering his beautiful wife  He could feel her touch lingering on his skin. She would hug him close, hide in his arms, knowing with him there, no wrong could come to her.

Why did he let her die?

She was gone now...dead... He left her, stupidly, for another woman. She died the worse death an elf could.
She died of a broken heart.

No matter what he did, she was nothing more than a memory.  Love was a memory and nothing more.

omg..... this is a gorgeous piece! the emotion and feeling in it are so strong... very moving and powerful. It’s such a touching piece, you can feel his inner pain and see the dark yet serene qualities to it. You can see his sorrow and his regret just in his posture and the way he looks almost like he’s clinging to her. I can almost hear the waves and feel the night air.... VERY well done! I can’t praise it enough. keep up the gorgeous work!
