SciFi and Fantasy Art: Zamlan -original

I often get comments about my digitial work, but reecently my greatest improvements have been in natural media. Unfortunately I rarely do fantasy art with natural media. I felt that I should use the original for one of my digital pieces to show how I've improved.

This is the main male character in my book, counterpart to Adalelle.
Zamlan could easy have grown up as a serf and lived a simple life, but it was not his fate to escape war or Adalelle. One day when he was very young, he was asked to either accept a great burden or watch his family die.
Oblivious to the consequences he accepted the burden only to find himself cursed for the rest of his years, and permanently bound to Adalelle.
Though he may appear small, do not be decieved. He is a hardened murder, not above kidnapping or torturing. Unless you are Adalelle, you would be in danger around him.

Very thoughtful and very hot. They don't make them like that in this world...Unfortunatly.

:-) Cristina Diaz-Borda replies: "they do, you just have to look carefully"

His wounds are obvious, his hardened response to them not so much - just right for a tragic character of fantasy drama, a good soul ruined by unescapable fates! This is gorgeous, and I know if I were ever to be subject to his spells of deceptive innocence, I would stand no chance! You are a real master of emotive portraiture!

:-) Cristina Diaz-Borda replies: "Wow thank you! I really appreciate the effort you put into such a well crafted comment. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Be sure to check back soon, as I’ve brought him back with a new piece."

Wow he looks great! He looks thoughtful or like he’s just watching something or someone... Almost a posture of accepted defeat (maybe not the word I’m looking for...) and hardships, but he looks like he can keep holding on. He looks awesome, I love this peice! Keep it up!

:-) Cristina Diaz-Borda replies: "Thanks so much!"
