| 3 Mar 1999 | Kelpie | It's a good drawing but I don't think it really shows how depressed I think he ought to look. Then again, that's my opinion. I do like it. | |
| 7 Mar 1999 | Brianna A. Ganskopp | It is a good drawing... however for the depression feel you might want to make a dark background or something of that nature (not that i have ever put any backgrounds in my stuff). It is a symbol that most humans associate with depression and saddness | |
| 9 Jun 1999 | Gail | Needs a bigger cross. That thing don't look very heavy upon his heart... this says to me "Man carrying Christmas prop out to his yard nonchalantly". | |
| 18 Oct 1999 | Benami | LoL at above...If he is depressed his head would not be so high. | |
| 2 Jan 2000 | agrajag | to the contrary, i thought the cross-bearer here was
just bearing his cross in dutiful resignation, sort of
...that is to say, the sadness is more internal; he
outwardly bears the cross and forces his head up high,
but inwardly he sighs and wonders 'why bother at all?'
or whatever. i think a larger cross would be too
caricaturized.
anyway, i like it. | |
| 13 Dec 2000 | lauren | what the hell is this he's smiling and he's about to die | |
| 30 Dec 2003 | Koios | That's the size cross that could fit a kid (yes they crucified children) not a grown man. I agree with Gail, but I think that it's the eyes that give this effect. Bigger cross, sadder eyes, and you have a perfect piece. And if you want to be really specific, make the beard as ragged as the rest of his hair ( @_- ). I don't mean to be nit-picky, but if I didn't like the piece I wouldn't bother. | |
