SciFi and Fantasy Art: Desert Dance

Woot! I actually used the poser program to get the right setting for the body, and STILL I'm being hounded that it looks awful. I need help coloring it though, so, well, let me know what you think. Aensa the gypsy about to start her dance before a large bonfire.

I love the feathers, the snakey bracelet, and the anklet! The hair, though... it looks odd, such a blank space next to so much detail. Still good though. ^_^

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "*laughs* It does look odd. I was informed it reminded people of 'Alien'. Ah well. Maybe someday it will be in color and hence have shape and definition."

i love it. It's very free and wild. But the hair needs some work. Otherwise it's perfect! Great Job!

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "I agree. The hair needs a bit, alright, a lot of help. *laughs* Hopefully I'll get around to fixing it someday."

That one wrist is bent just a little strange, but otherwise I think it looks great!

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "I kept trying and trying with that wrist. Maybe when I redo it, the wrist will be fixed and maybe that damn square hip as well."

Are you kidding? This pic is near perfect!! Maybe the wrist shud be less twisty and the arm shud be out a lil bit more? Maybe u cud do her leg up dancing or something, out behind her... I dunno. But its really good!!!

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Thank you! There is some more I want to do, and perhaps, at some point, turn this into a full fledged animation, but, we'll see."

The body feels sort of stiff (possibly from the poser figure?) and maybe where the hair starts above her face could be marked. If you're having trouble drawing this pose, try getting a friend to pose it for you 2 Good detail on the jewelry, and nice variety of it.

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "I thought it was stiff too, that is why I'm hoping to rework it one day. I was planning on coloring it in so it would look fabu, but the more I look at the jewelry and all, the more I want to cry and push it aside. Oh well. *grins* But thanks for the comment."

who ever says the positions wrong as obviously never seen a belly dancer mid pose. sometimes they're movement's just look wrong to the human eye, body's aren't supossed to do that. I personally really like it.
