SciFi and Fantasy Art: Hail to the Watchtowers

First in my series of the Hail to the Watchtowers. I was just fooling around with effects and coloring on Photoshop, and although I wasn't quite too thrilled and this deffinately wont be my final, I did like it enough to put it up here. So, for your veiwing pleasure: 'Hail to the Watchtower of the North, Guardian of the Earth Power of wisdom, knowledge, fertility and strength, Come to us.'

I like it! That big moon behind the figure really makes her stand out.

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "That's what I was hoping for. Thank you."

Being Wiccan myself i really love this one. It looks so spooky yet not scary if you understand me 2 (i'm a bit weird) The twigs on her hands look so natural and having the moon in the background is a great touch!
The hair i especially like.
A lovely pic! Do some more pics on the computer! You have the skill.

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Actually working on a few more on the computer, at the moment, and, best yet, I'm in the process of the Hail to the guardian of water. The problem is I'm using much too much celtic knot work and I'm about at the end of my rope. I hope I can post it up soon."

Then the branches aren't bad either...;D

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "*laughs* Well, I'm working on a better one, I hope, as we speak, but we will see how it comes out. But thank you so much. *blushes* How kind of you to say all that."

Wonderful harmonious, nearly some kind of art nouveau.
I'm often thinking about the idea of the Watchtower, Tower at the horizon, the Tower in my dreams, too. My tower is often found in many of my pictures, just at the horizon, out of reach.Interesting that someone else is also doing that...

Nice. This really gives the feeling of something more than what's being shown. It's all by itself but hints at something bigger than it. I like it.
