SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fairy Princess

And through the air she flitters and flutters, taking only enough time to pose for her adoring public.

That is weird, odd, and above all, magnificent. I specifically like the hair.

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Thank you very much. The hair is a style I use now and then in my own hair."

Very realistic. It looks like a friend of mine, but with smoother hair! She looks so vain, but I guess being a faerie princess might do that to you!

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "It was my first shot and try at something realistically drawn. And yes, fairy princesses can be rather twisted and vain."

hihi, it looks like she's having problems with her mathematic-test. I bet there's some advance algebra...

anyway, a good drawing. Like the hands very much...

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "*laughs* Algebra. I never was very good at math."

This is just such a great picture, I had to comment again. I love the pose, the shading, the realism of this picture. Her face is marvelous, so sinister, so self-involved, so lonely, such a sneer. Quite amazingly done, I still love this picture. Can I get a copy?

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "*laughs* If you would like a copy, surely you can have one. But only you. Beacuase I like you... *grins*"

This is exactly how I would picture a fairy Princess! It is so breath- taking and yet simple. I am enthrolled with fairy tales and princesses even though I am thirteen. I read so many and am agast by the radiant drawings that iluminate the fair smooth skin and the dazling eyes. But over all this one is the best. Just by looking at it you can tell her mood, character, attitude, etc.- just by looking at it. In other words- it's nice. It would be totally cool if I could recieve a copy!- w/thanks, Katie

:-) Laura Beth Katt replies: "Oh, well, *blushes and is rather speechless* Thank you so much. She was one of my more favorite things I've done as of recently. If you really want a copy, email me and I'll see what I can do about it. *smiles*"

What fabulous hair! As a long-haired person who knows very well how hair looks when compressed down by styling I am amazed at the reality of it. The braid actually looks braided right down to the little bump where the begining of the coil is -- where you can't ever quite get it to lie flat.

I love the way the lifted jaw, closed eyes, and pressed-together lips convey her attitude of "I'm absolutely marvelous and so kind to you poor, ground-bound oafs to give you this oppertunity to adore me."
