SciFi and Fantasy Art: Thin Cthulhu

I red a little Lovecraft and wanted to draw Cthulhu, this was the first attemp. It doesn't look like Cthulhu, but is still a nice picture.

I have seen that kind of face somewhere. But where, can't recall. I don't know what cthulthu looks so can't say much about that. But I don't want this one appearing from my closet either.

It looks very like a (winged) Mind Flayer from D&D, which is appropriate since the Mind Flayers were heavily influenced by the Cthulhu mythos. I must use them in a Call of Cthulhu RPG sometime.
