| 24 Dec 2000 | Amanda | This is such a beautiful picture. I would love to see more of this. | |
| 31 Dec 2000 | Moon fairy | That would be cool if I were playing that.*sighs* Right now my flute is broken. * Piece of crap!* Sorry...my flute is like cursed or something and I can't get rid of it either. Or not until august anyways. Heh heh heh. | |
| 21 Jun 2001 | Ricky | I love that picture. | |
| 24 Dec 2001 | Nicole | That's gorgeous....But that's not a flute.....It's a tin whistle or recorder. I should know, i play flute and am very well at it. Other than that, good job. | |
| 1 Jul 2002 | Adriana | I agree with Nicole- about to say the same thing. Knock off one hole, and it could be a tin flute or a recorder. Leave it like this- um... call it a reed flute. | |
| 1 Jan 2004 | Tengoku | Now why can't my flute look like that! I would totally parctice then. Ooops that is something my band teach shouldn't read *Runs and hides as band teach comes around coner* ok not really but hey she can't know deal? Deal! | |
| 15 Feb 2004 | | Aww, wow! It looks beautiful; so ethereal and stuff. Sigh. And about the 'this is not a flute' comment, flutes didn't ALWAYS look like they do today, you know. The name 'flute' was probably given to quite a few instruments in the past, that were played in the same way (blow, cover holes with fingers, etc. o.O) So bleh. Wheeee! And I love the poem. o.O Gorgeous-ness. | |
| 15 Apr 2004 | Heres Johnni! | I think it is a very clever picture, it reminds me of the ethereal sounds of the recorder or flute. Just as a point, in the baroque era the German name for Recorder is 'Blockflöte', which literally translated to English means 'Block Flute'. The modern day 'concert' flute was called the 'transverse flute'. Therefore, technically they are both flutes... A very good picture! | |
| 23 Jul 2004 | Call me mandy | my sister-n-laws father owns a music shop with crystal flutes in it,They are very gorgeous with designs on them, and although i agree with nicole and some of the others that it looks like a recorder its still a beautiful recorder. The crystal flutes in his shop look just like todays flutes , and are in a different key.SO i guess this comment can go either way because to me this picture is art and art is from a persons originality and if you want to call it a flute you have the permision of a fellow flute and picillo player.SO everyone stop ragging him on the technicality of the name cause whatever you make of it ,it is gorgeous. | |
| 6 Dec 2004 | Teratornis | this is beautiful. I love the lighting and the way they crystal is so . . . ah . . . transparant. It's wonderful.
one small issue that I notice, though. That's a recorder. Similar to a flute, but still different. Flutes have an opening in the side of the instrument that one blows over to generate noise. Flutes also have a lot of "buttons" (for lack of a better term) instead of openings to change the tune and note. | |
