SciFi and Fantasy Art: Selkies

A rare glimpse of the selkie, a shy water fay from the Scottish islands. My second attempt at watercolors (the first being 'The Fox and the Grapes') in a similar style to 'Rapture', with its circular style, checkerboard graphic elements, and Celtic knotwork. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and was surprised at how fast it went. A couple of hours to draw and ink the basic design, and a few hours a day for only 3-4 days to paint it.
