| 5 Jun 2000 | Raymond W. Soderlund | Is the tiara (which you used in the other picture as well) symbolic of something, a trademark symbol, or just a favorite trinket? I usually prefer cartoony self-portraits over serious ones because the artist is less worried about realistic accuracy and draws themselves more from their perception. The lack of any additional lines for the mouth leave an emotional ambiguity which I find interesting...she looks like she could readily break into giggles...or in tears. Ummm... I answerd this in the updated info on the pic. | |

| 22 Jul 2002 | anna | Draw what you see, not what you think you see. Think about that and you could go places. Katie **Princess** Jones replies: " thank you for the comment. Once again I emphisize that my art style is cartoon, NOT lifelike. Thus, I do draw what I see, with a twist. If I wanted to draw what I see lifelike, I could. If you want proof, e-mail me back and I will send you a pic that was on here until I took it down. Thanks -Katie(E-mail) kjones9@utk.edu" | |
| 21 Nov 2003 | Arra Sails | I really don't want to be harsh to anna but Elfwood is about drawing fantasy and imaginative things, your imagination is part of your brain, and your brain is where you think. Meaning you need to think to draw a CREATIVE AND IMAGINATIVE PICTURE. Just think about that for a minute. | |
