| 31 Aug 2004 | Arisloin | This is with out a doubt one of your best peices. Keep going like this and you could go pro-painter. Can make good mony that way I hear, I like money you can by swords with money... nnyways. A great piece, absulutly amazing. | 11 Jan 2005 | Faye Greenleaf | Eowyn looks a little cross, I wonder what Faramir said! I hate it when she's unhappy, which, unfortunatly, is most of the time. She's such a remarkable woman, and all she wanted to do was go to war and die! It's lucky that Merry was there, or her wishes might have come true; though, Faramir was the best thing that could have happened to her! It's one of my favorite parts in the book, and certinly the most romantic!! GREAT JOB!!!! | |
| 2 Feb 2005 | Wyntre Rose | Wow, what a neat angle! I really like this, it's very unique! | |
| 9 Dec 2005 | Amanda L. | I just love Eowyn. She is like my favorite character from lotr. This is a beautiful picture! If only paint with watercolor like that! I need to work on that. Anyways, keep up the amazing work. | |
| 30 May 2006 | Anime Freak | Neat angle. I really like Faramir, that was favorite part in the book! sorry to say this but Eowyn looks like a guy. Faramir looks good though. | |
| 15 Nov 2006 | Cheese cake | um this isn't really sf or f art is it? It should belong in the fan art section | |
| 23 Nov 2006 | A. Numinous | As I never managed to read LotR all the way through, and as Jackson's pixelstorm phantasmagorias are a bit of a blur as well, I've only the vaguest of notions as to who Éowyn and Faramir are. But whatever. I'm afraid the face of the woman doesn't look quite right. The "frog's view" angle can be fiendishly tricky, and you do get an "A" (and, it seems, a Mod's Choice star) for effort. The man's hairline looks a little odd too. The subdued colours are really nice, though. | |
| 3 Dec 2007 | David Michael | Very good picture overall; I like Faramir and the expression on his face. The subdued color palette is very nice indeed, but I also have a problem with Eowyn's face. Aside from the very unflattering view up her nose, it looks like a man's face. Not being an artist myself, I can't tell you the exact differences between men and women's faces, but something about her chin, cheeks, and forehead is just too blocky, too bold and unattractive for a woman. Tolkien does specify that she is quite fair to look on. Anyway, that's the only problem I have with it. Otherwise it is very nice. I like the composition and the feeling of a windy, cloudy day. | |
| 7 Feb 2008 | Désirée Ruth Dippenaar | Woooooow I love this! I would never have been able to paint something like this at age 16! I still can’t! o.O One of my favourite parts of the book, and you really did it justice! | |
| 7 Feb 2008 | Anon. | He looks like he was just teasing her. He’s got this look in his eyes and she looks somewhat cross. It’s very cute. | |
