He blinked repeatedly upon realizing that they were wings, and that the shortish bloke seemed rather irritated. The pace quickened when his brain registered the rest of this peculiar guy. The man's arms reminded him of two treestalks, and his barrel chest - criss-crossed with scars - was going up and down. The legs supporting this stone wall-like bloke seemed just as strong.
Yeah, he seemed pissed off - and the idea of a man like this pissed with enough to get guys like him running for their lives."
