SciFi and Fantasy Art: Eve's Temptation

Recently, I saw the play, 'The Diary of Adam and Eve,' based on Mark Twain's story. In this composition, I combined the Biblical with the mythical, to create something magical. People look at it and usually say 'Ooh, Medusa,' or 'That snake is licking her breast.' And.. really, I'm sick of hearing that. I also hear that she needs to look 'more evil.' If she looked evil and frightening, Eve would have screamed and ran away, now wouldn't she?

Lisa--Interesting things. I'll look into Lilith. As for the contrast.. ehn.. that's my scanner. The actual drawing's much darker. I've been planning to darken it on the computer but I'm a lazy bum. Hehn.

pretty. she doesnt look like madusa...madusa is generally ugly and, well, sometimes fanged...atleast in my mind's eye. and the snake just seems to be drawling from her...I dont see it licking her breast....very well done!

This is a very original representation of atempting snake, you're absolutely right, if it looked evil it would scare her off.

Well done.

hehe just kidding 12
Great pic, I really like the way you've portrayed her, very original. I like the way she's holding out the apple, she looks menacing and trustworthy at the same time. Very good combination.
