SciFi and Fantasy Art: Tabula Falsa

An ominous message foreshadowed by the placement of a skull and sword. What is written upon the pages? Dare you read it? If you do choose to pick up the tome and peruse the words that some one has scribbled upon those ancient pages , remember the warning that not all you read is necessarily true.

5 Jul 2006	Laura Sofie Holmegaard	Loading... Wow! This drawing gives me the creeps, not to mention a sudden sense of envy. You are amazing at drawing in pencil and shading your picture properly. You have especially done a good job with the drapes and the skull, they look very realistic. You go! I enjoy doing a pencil drawing every now and then. Putting together an interestng enough still life to work from is always a challenge though.

Wonderful tonal work on the shading - well done, the candle and the tome are very realistic ... though it took me some while to realise that the sword and hilt where indeed such - a little more work to place them into the foreground perhaps? the background curtaining is well rendered... hmm... but I do wonder what is written in the text - dare I read it aloud? - maXine Don't read it, trust me on this one.

28 Oct 2006	Freakstar	Loading... i like the shading but i really LOV the book im a major book freak and i like how you made there be words on the book. The option to a book with text is a book with no text. Both are interesting: One having already been written, the other still to be.
