SciFi and Fantasy Art: Burning

''Hang on, I’ll…' she began before she collapsed, one hand pressed against the cabinet of the grandfather clock. She could feel the vibrations of Digory’s small fists beating against it from the other side. The world of fire and smoke consumed her, and she passed into darkness.'
Not fun. Don't know if this counts as a picture containing violence or not by Elfwood standards, but it's the most violent picture I've ever made. The texture on the clock is actually a photo I took of a ceramic piece that I made, which was part of the project.

Ooooh...cool fire!!! How'd you do that? This is way cool.

I never told you but I finally did a drawing of Malraune...it'll probably be a million years before I can get it scanned but yeah. I don't know why I told you here. 2

:-) Marlena Cannon replies: "Really? A picture of Malraune? I can't wait to see it. ^_^ Anyway, for this fire I actually cut and pasted and duplicated the fire I made for the "Fire in the Courtyard" pic. *looks a little guilty.* For that one, what I did is I used the gradient tool in Adobe Photoshop to make a circle that got darker towards the edges. Then I used the "motion blur" filter to spread it out. Next, I applied the "glass" and "ocean ripple" filters, then some more "motion blur" to make the fire look realistic. I was pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to make a cool fire."

I love the smoke you made. You explained how you made the smoke i didnt understand because i am only human im not sure
if your human or not. Either way i bow down to you oh master from your overpowering artistic talent.Keep up the good work.

P.S. I make stick figure drawlings look bad and i dont check my grammar.

:-) Marlena Cannon replies: "I, too, am a mere mortal and not very good at explaning things. 10 Thanks for the comment!"

Well...hmm...I wonder if you had time to but the story in Wyvern's library yet....I want to see if you did...

:-) Marlena Cannon replies: "Sorry, I haven't put the story into written story form yet. ;_; Soon, I hope...."
