SciFi and Fantasy Art: Weyrrwolf Lord

Over several years Marrik has gone from the story's 'nameless faceless love-interest' to the character with the most developed plot line. Perhaps I should start paying the others more attention.

Marrik is a weyrrwolf (actually a wolf/dog cross), a fact which is originally known only to his father (who gave him this sword), and then to Elyvyr. He flees his land with 'Vyr after being framed for his father's murder.

Graphite in sketchbook, about 9' high. This picture started as a melange of facial features, celebrity and otherwise (I stole them! HA!), and blended and evolved. I will eventually finish the sketch of Marrik's canine form, but it needs refinement first.
