| 23 Dec 2000 | John Teall | pretty place - i love the way it's tucked away in the folds of the hills like that - which actualy makes a great deal of sens being as that's sort of were the moisture would find it's way to - and of course the doors are pretty much all well above the floor of the aroyo which makes a fine road when dry but not where you'd want to be when the tops of those hill manage to snag a stray passing cloud or two ... well if i haddn't lived in a couple of semi-arid places i would probably never have known about half of that ... those little roof gardens are a great touch ... ~ Arroyo! That's the word I've been trying to remember! Prrrrrrr. Thankyou for the practical view of things - never having lived in an arid place (I live in WA!), I was going mostly by asthetics and things remembered from Pueblo indian villages. | |
