This particular piece was done as a homework assignment for my studio drawing class. I wanted to do another fallen angel, they really fascinate me. Just the concept that something so inherently good, like an angel, can become so completely evil, like a demon, is a really interesting idea. The picture is actually larger, but I cropped it to post it. Is it a forest or a cavern? Created entirely in charcoal in my sketchbook.

What makes lucifer so inherently bad and the angels so inherently good. Surely knowledge is a gift rather than a curse. Then again it is common in religion to have a "know your place" load of crap. I really like the picture though.
