SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gargoyle (redone)

Allright.. you guys asked for it. 'redo it, on white paper, in color, with a background!' so here ya go! I went more for a 'mood' than realism with this one, but I really like how it turned out. Watercolors (as all my paintings are.. can't stand oils or acrylics). enjoy!

I've gotta say... those're some splendiferous lookin' wings there, sweetie. Who says Gargoyles have to have the webbed "bat wings"? I think it's a very good example of the "Darker" aspects of your art styles.

Actually gargoyles fans... If you remember the Avalon period of the show, you'll remember that the London clan did in fact have bird-like wings. They were Grif, an of course griffin-like gargoyle, Una, a white unapeg-like gargoyle, and Leo, a lion-like gargoyle. This one seems to be in a somewhat damp London area as well... possibly a lost or outcast member? ~My gargoyles pictures might soon be coming to Elfwood, so watch for Dreamie 2

I love you Sarah! Bravo to the allknowing gargoyle fan here. When I first drew her i said.. yup.. she's a londoner. that's why I put her in the trenchcoat leaning up against the lamp under the rain.. I thought it might suggest england. I'm so happy it did! YaY!

Another I like, tho I'm sure I'd like it more if I could see it on the good computer. ::grumble grumble:: I like the lamp post effect, and the wings, too.

Dreamie is here! Come on down to Elfwood's "all-knowing gargoyles fan"'s site! I was just yesterday added to the roster, and I'm thankful to now be a part of the fine line of gargoyle artists here at Elfwood. (BTW, I *still* enjoy this pic <G>12 ~Dreamie

Wow... You gave gentelness to this ugly beast, and the dark mood with the lite in it gives it a very inspiring feeling.
