SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Aftermath

'A moment of in time, hanging in the still, bright air...' ----I have a thing for European period costumes and this is the first time I've actually gotten down to do it with reference and stuff :P Still rather sketchy, not quite sure what to put in the back ground yet...

'A moment of in time, hanging in the still, bright air...' I love the depth/atmosphere/feeling that line gave the picture for me, like one of those brief, melancholic but lovely scenes that just linger in your memory -- like this one. *grin* There's something poignant in the way they're staring at each other, and the kneeling position of the man on the right seems to represent all manners of complications in their relationship. I really like the pose, and you drew them very naturally, methinks. Good proportion on both the figures, and unawkward poses.

Are they both men? If not I think that the man standing would be royalty of somesort and the person knealing is actually a woman and at the moment they are staring at eachother they both know the truth and fall in love. Quite simaler to the Shakespear play "Twelth Night"

Just the artist here testing out the comment system- which has mysteriously switched off on me again. Just did a quick review and rediscovered how much comments mean to me- whether they are good or bad, offering useful tips or just someone wanting to share whar they think. It lets me know that someone out there is looking- and makes me want to keep moving on to touch more people. To all of these people, past, present and future. My heartfelt Thanks to all of you. - yours , KH-L
