SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fractaline Angel

This is my first real experience with 3D studio, and you can see the vast improvements between it and the later piece, 'Electric Storms and Shifting Sands.' However, it is a rather creative piece, and deserves some attention. The Fractaline Angel represents a lurking suspicion that there is a strong connection between the very large and the very small. Electrons circling a nucleus are governed by a similar equation to that presiding over orbiting planets..... It is enough to make one wonder whether each atom is not in fact a universe of its own. As my hands dance accross the keyboard, I could be starting trillions of big-bangs and unconciously altering the lives of the denziens of these miniature universes. Are we just a particle in some bigger world, like a small figure in a cosmic set of Russian Nesting dolls? Like a fractal, the universe maintains the same level of detail at all levels of magnification. The fractaline angel is an embodiment of this.

13 Nov 2000	Sander Schoemaker	Loading... Nice work of fractals. The background with that planet and the fractals realy rule, the head looks somewhat less. Nothing that can not be improved with practise though. You got talent!
