I am an art student who hopes to someday be a professional illustrator/artist. I just graduated with a BFA in Design with an Illustration Emphasis. My BFA final project was a series of book covers for C.S. Lewis's THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA. You will find these here in my gallery. I tried to capture the feeling and essence of the series and especially each individual book. Although I have graduated I will always consider myself a student. I enjoy Tolkien, the Dragonlance Saga and only the best in comics, namely those by Alan Davis, Gary Frank, and a few others. I enjoy the works of Waterhouse, Dean Cornwell, Michael Whelan, Larry Elmore, J.C. Leyendecker, and Andrew Loomis. Feel free to visit my webpage to view my other non-fantasy illustration. I will respond to questions usually through email. Thanks, thanks,..

Hi, came across your page while trying to compile a children's book illustration tour, which I am still working on... Your illustration is top class. If you have not done so,I suggest you send a portfolio to the publishers who publish the Narnia and Alice in Wonderland books firstly, and then other major publishers of children's books. You are a definite contender for this sort of work.

It's rare to see an artist painting such good face-expressions. You can really tell what they think. Marvelous. I'm looking forward to see more paintings.

Favorites: The Mermaid, The Fortune Teller and The Angel.

I enjoyed your gallery very much--as did many other's it seems! Great job with the narnia pictures. That's a much beloved series, and so it's quite a victory when you can portray them in a way that most people will accept and love.

Andrew, your work is beautiful and varied. I always wanted to be a children's book illustrator, but life took another course. Keep up the excellent work, I plan to bookmark your gallery.
