SciFi and Fantasy Art: Niennah

In JRRTolkien's 'Silmarillion' Niennah was one of Valier, a kind of 'angels' created by Eru. She's a keeper of world's sorrow and tears. She always cries for every pain caused by evil powers... but her tears aren't in vain. Niennah turns the sorrow to life experience and wisdom. Maybe this vision of her isn't absolutely right, but it was my first try to show any of Valier.

4 Mar 2000	Hanna Lehmusto	Loading... She looks pretty inpatient and stubborn to be Nienna, after all, as you wrote, she is calm and peaceful. Anyway, there aren´t many things that are more difficult to draw than one of the Valar, so I fully respect your try. She is a beautiful woman anyway.

7 Aug 2002	Acacia Onna Stik	Loading... Oooh. Finally, a picture of my favorite Vala. And quite pretty it looks, too, and she does look like she's been crying.. but I seem to recall she was described as with a gray hood.. ah well. Artistic licence. I like it.
