SciFi and Fantasy Art: O Lorien !

This picture reminds me of the Tale of Tinuviel that strider tells the hobbits in the Fellowship of the Ring.It renders that sadness that one senses when reading that poem. Excellent work. Give my regards to the artist.

worlds have many parts and places each their own - it is only in our minds that we see them as all one thing or another - though of course the single brush we tend to tar everything with does itself evolve as we go thorough life even as does the societies we are surrounded by and their impact on their physical surroundings - indigenous societies tend to avoid irreverent developement of places they experience as having a special feel to them - this is a thing the societies of the recent two or three hundred years seem to have mostly forgotten but certainly could and hopefully well as some point begin to re-remember - it isn't the magic that has gone away but only we who have become all to often in too much of a hurry to see and remember it ... ~

My mother has a picture on her bedroom wall of Lothlorien that is practically identical to this. Perhaps you might have seen the pic I am referring to and subconsciously remembered it. I don't know who the artist was of that one, and it was Lothlorien in the spring, anyway. Nevertheless, for all I just called you a plageriser, this is a very good pic. i never ave any patience when drawing trees...

do you know what? this picture is sad, i think of a lost world when I see it! it`s so beautiful. it look kind of "dreamy" not so clear, but clear anyway!
