| 13 Feb 2001 | Lisa Coleman | I can tell that you don't usually do the overendowed look too often, the breasts and hips on the center girl are way too realistic, and good-looking. she needs more silicone! | |
| 3 Apr 2002 | Rachel | Good! I'm pretty impressed. Man, I sure would like to get some of MY pictures on Elfwood some time. I'm sure everyone who comes here would really love 'em. | |
| 17 May 2002 | Benjamin P. Albrecht | Very good--and it is a sketch, as you say. Do you ever get the feeling that no one reads the explanations that we put above our pix? Keep it up, mania; i especially like the pose on the left. | |
| 5 Sep 2002 | Kort Kramer | LOL, thanks for the tirade. I agree that agility is the most important attribute for most warrior women. Usually not as strong as their male counterparts, speed and agility would be more valuable to them. In this case, armour and clothes would be more decorative or to be used for specific defense (like a buckler) that could be moved quickly to defend against a specific thread, unlike the all-over body armour that is made to defend against all threats, even ones the wearer is unaware of. It doesn't hurt that I find the female form more appealing to the eye anyway... ) | |
| 5 Sep 2002 | Anonymous | about their outfits, and battle worthiness....
way back when there was a race of females who lived in secluded clans in wooded regions, and were known as Amazons.
The amazons were terrifying and ferocious in battle. They would go on bloodlusts killing any and all who crossed them, and oftentimes, they would fight completely in the nude.
But no, this was not because they wanted their enemies to freeze and oggle them as they were decapitated, but instead for a very VERY simple, yet for some reason today forgotten reason.
The Human body is MOST flexible and agile in its natural state, free from armor and clothes altogether. They were fast, light, and did not need to worry about getting cut, because they were FASTER THAN THEIR ENEMIES!
So, next time you see a half naked or fully naked stereotypical fantasy battle-ready babe, just think how much better off she would be in battle than you would decked out in armor, while she dances around you ten times before you even have the time to raise your weapon, and realise that you are already dead =)
*sigh*.. sorry about that rant, but sometimes people have to see that armor is not just good for turning blades or protecting skin, but also for encumbering the flowing figure and hindering its natural agility (agility that is if you are a firm, toned, and well endowed stereotypical fantasy babe body! hehe)
not only that but nothing compliments a sweet looking sword than a hot naked fantasy bod holding one =) (be it female or male)
| 17 Sep 2002 | Lindsey | As much as other people think this picture is out of proportion in any kind of way, I happen to like it very much! You did a wonderful job here no -- they are not too masculine. Watch some women's fitness competitions...then you'll know what too masculine on a woman is. | |
| 10 Apr 2004 | Skyrere | Asside from the wild women living in the forests, Gor does not have Warrior women. Only mostly nude slaves and free women covered from heat to toe to guard their freedome. Gor... disturbing books. Kort Kramer replies: "Now that's I've grown up (somewhat) I agree that they are a bit disturbing. But I've read fantasy novels where the women were dominant and men were the slaves. Being a male, GOR appealed more to me as a hormone enslaved teenager. I doubt I would read the book now though, too much other good stuff is out there." | |
| 2 Feb 2005 | Jarlytha Akeela | *raises a brow* no Warrior Women in Gor? *snorts* I beg to differ! I am a Gorean of 10 years. and I am a Warrior. I am both real time and online Gorean.
they look absolutey lovely , Hon. You did a wonderful job. Keep up the great work!
| 24 Sep 2007 | Anonymous | To whom it may concern: your arguments for lack of armor, I must point out that weapons weigh a warrioress down, too. So your agile women-warriors would also wield a light weapon, which is little use against a heavily armored adversary. A real world-example is the Crusades: the lightly armored Saracen troops couldn't penetrate European armor, and heavy Crusader weapons couldn't hit the agile Saracens. So most kills were the result of archery.
But in the end, who cares? Its just art, and the artist is free to draw whatever he/she likes.
