SciFi and Fantasy Art: Optic Distortion

This is a combination of several complexly textured Bryce 4 terrains that were then layer in Photoshop5. Various transperecies were used to bolth flatten and dimensionalize it. The center distorion is a combination of filters to create a unique bubble effect. This makes me think of the digital landscape of a CPU that is interfacing with another CPU--kinda tronish.

26 Oct 1999	Mark Grimes	Loading... Wild! I like the way the "distortion" seems to bend the light around it and the planar red line to make it seem as though it has mass. The hazy upside-down reflection/mirror in the portal is well executed. Very interesting piece.
