| 22 Jan 2001 | Deana Marie Bishop 'Schayde' | First comment dance!! Hi, thanks for commenting on my demoness!! Sorry I don't know how to tell people I've updated, if I knew how I would though!! Critiqueing On this one? Well it's a great dramatic pose and you've done pretty good on the depth, but unless this angel is extremley in shape (And if that's so she needs more muscle definition) or skinny, she needs a little depth in her tummy like a small rounding where the leg and the hip/stomach meet. Every person has a folding of skin at their belly button and their hips. Are you planning on clothes? Because her arms are all right (A little strong looking in the neck), but if she's not going to be wearing a brazziere she needs to have a little more droop in the upper part of the breasts after all they are just sacs of ammary glands and fat. And the right hand to me (Mirroring) is a little big, but otherwise you have a great start to a very dramatic setting I also like the shading in the forshortening in the upper legs. What type of wings? I know it says angel but lots of people do different things for angels so if it's feathers my suggestion is don't look at my drawings. Look at Lyndell A Stout's (Here in Loth) or refer to a bird book for proper style, I always see wings here in loth that are just impossible for angles to fly with. I hope you don't think I'm being to harsh I'm just trying to help so I'm going to go look at more!! S&SW Schayde Thank you so much for all your comments...and I agree with all of your perceptions on my anatomy work...I can't guarantee that I will change or, shall I say, fix any of these...but I will take into account all of the insight you have given me and try to pay more attention to those details...a lot of times I do make the women a little too perky or too skinny and I am really working on not being so stiff esp. in the arms...and you mentioned on a couple of pics that the hands are too big...usually when I first draw them in I do them large to get the detail and figure that if I shade them it kinda makes them decrease in size but, as you can see, some of them weren't shaded and so look a tad too large...hands are tough...thank you for your advice...hopefully I will improve! | |
| 4 Jun 2001 | Andre B. Bolfing | I fix my older drawings sometimes, but the important is that I KNOW what is wrong, the rest is only execution. About the hands, I think rather her left hand is too small. My rule for the wings is this: one wing as big as the length of the body. (two wings double size to the body). Hmm.. now where's she sitting? Ya know, I don't know where she's sitting...?...and I'll keep the wing tip in mind, thanx! | |
| 8 Nov 2001 | Kehree Crau | Your anatomy is "off" and i do not know if you did this on purpose or not. Either way though, it gives you a unique style. She or he, hehe, is very different looking. Almost liquid like cuz of her long legs and neck. I think it would be interesting if you worked on her wings more, maybe making them drippy looking if that makes sense, like she can transform herself into shapes or something. | |
| 30 Dec 2001 | Anna Gustafsson | Really like this one. She looks like she has just said that "Well, I´m the boss here so don´t tell me to put some clothes on!" or something like that... *grin*... Anyway, like your style! | |
| 12 Feb 2002 | Casey Dean Standridge | heh, all I gotta say is wow Julie | |
| 24 Feb 2002 | Sol | I like the detail on the hair, bu I dont't like IT. The hands are not the same size. Ahhh... where are the nipples??? I know angels don't have dfinite sex, but... what is it? | |
| 29 Sep 2002 | Tami J. Ward | I love her hair! But think she should have nipple too. Her hand is a little smaller than the other. But the ATTITUDE on her face is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wonderful that it is all I can focus on ... she has something to say! | |
