This is really well drawn. The muscle definition in the legs is superb but I personally think they are a little bulky for an Elf. I also think the tip of his ear should show above his arm through his hair. The bow. The grip is a bit large for his hand. Other than that its a great picture. You should do minotaurs.
Okay, so let's imagine that his long hair is covering his ear and he's so stocky cuz he's actually a half-elf who's human father was a weight lifter and had great big hands with excellent grip.....*sigh*.....k? how bout we just say that?

he's even holding it convincingly - the only nit i would pic is that this is a VERY modern desighn of a bow - of course if the fanatics hadn't burned the library at alexandria ... ~12
Yeah, you're right a bit too modern....hmmm?

You seem to have muscle shading down rather well (One of the things I still struggle with) but you have to remember... clothes have texture and shading as well. It's what gives them a realistic feel, helps determine the different between a warm wuzzy blanket and a thin cloth cape.

Your archer is good olny his arrow needs to be on other side of bow handle.

I wonder what the heck Bernie was thinking, great pose, Julie

*pokes person who commented above* Just because it's a picture of an archer doesn't necessarily mean it was an elf...there ARE human archers, too, y'know. And to the artist, this is a really convincing pose. It's usually hard to find someone who draws a shooting pose correctly. I really like the colors in this; the background kind of blends in with the archer himself.

I really like this picture. I see the concentration in the archer's face and can almost feel the tension on the string. Also, it's nice to see someone not worrying about fantasy garments. You pretty much scored on the outfit of your local guy in the middle ages. Well done.

Nice knees! THe angle of the second one seems a little odd, but the muscles are great. I dont know anything about arching, but it seems ok. 2 Nice leafy background.
