SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bald Fae

I have, for some strange reason, started leaving my females hairless....i have decided that it could only mean one thing...a new race of faeries...they are the 'Bald Faery' and you will see many of them...this has a tendency to frustrate people who insist that I do the hair but...I cannot...for they have none...they, are....the Bald Fae!!!

she's beautiful in her simplicity. A lot of people use hair to cover up the fact that they can't draw the head right; being able to draw bald characters is a show of skill.****I am very pleased if something I draw looks anatomically correct, whether the head or body, that's why many of my figures are nude or seem nude...I hate to cover up good lines...many people have a hard time with that but I am a slave to the subject matter and can only draw them as they are, thanks!

She dont have ears! hehe, i love your shading on this and thefact she is bald. The only thing i dont like that you seem to do in alot of pictures, is you dont do details on wings!! DETAILS! 2

I think she looks really cool. I'd like to see her with hair just to see what she would look like. I love the sleekness of it. I think ears and wing details would have screwed up the picture.

Oh, very pretty! The purple accents are great, she doesnt need hair! Heh. She seems to be indulging in a memory or something...

I'd just like to note that I really like your style... Your figure drawing is excellent (I've noticed all the hands, btw, something that you're pretty good at), and I really like these bald fae... Also, thank you very much for all the encouraging comments you left in my gallery... I haven't been around for a while and they were certainly a pleasant surprise to have waiting for me in my mailbox! (:

Very lovely, and you can tell "them" that bald heads are just as difficult to draw as hair!

Nice! The hands are very well done! If you want some ideas for details in the wings, get some insect or bird books and copy the patterns, or make up your own from those!

I think it's cute, but it WOULD look better with hair! Bald people look like eggs, darnit.

I am here after you commented at my gallery. On the subject about the baldness, stick with it. I think placing hair is hard sometimes. You have to make the hairdo to fit the picture, but yours is, "do I add skin lotion to make it bling or just leave it?"
