SciFi and Fantasy Art: Preview #4: Serene Merwoman

This..took forever. It's took the most time to start and actually ended up with the best quality. I'm -definitely- going to continue it. Those fins are more decorative than useful, though. Ah, well. Opinions, please? I'm thinking of putting coral in the background. *Okay!* I just updated this, positive feedback is such motivation. Like the hair? After I finished it, I realized it's a bit Alfred-like <g> He must've been a subliminal inspiration ;)

Another beautiful mermaid! I love the fins, even if they are just decorative. They're unique. Coral sounds wonderful, too.

I like the hair the way it is. Although I recommend that you thicken it just a little, aside from thaqt though it's superb. As far as the background goes, well, to be honest, I think that you shouldn't put a background in at all. I think you should leave the background blank. Somtimes backgrounds can deter from a picture, and if you say that this mermaid was so hard to draw, then I wouldn't take any uneccasary risks in messing it up. I'm not dictating, just offering some advice, but it's your picture. What is put in it is up to you.
