Looks like something straight out of Simon Bisely's portfolio. However, she's much too mannish. I'm not commenting on her musculature here but her hips in comparison to her shoulders.

I like the pose and the feel of this. Also, the snowy rocks and the entire background is great. However, there are some problems.
First, I'm not sure if you are using perspective on the skis, but it appears so, as the tips appear much larger than the ends. However, the arm position seems to be straight to the side, indicating that the skis should be parallel to the viewer and not fore-shortened. Contrariwise , if these are an unusual type of tapered ski, non-skiers may find be confused much as I am.
Second, proportions of the body are off causing the arms to appear bigger than thighs. Also, while I normally defend large breasts as an artistic prerogative, in this case it appears the big bosom of a bronzed bikini babe has been grafted on a slim torso of pale Nordic amazon.

:-) Bruno Krippahl replies: "You made some good observations. The skis were ment to be tapered, to give them an unusual look, but I agree that the rusult is a confusing perspective effect instead of some exotic skis. About the body, well the thing is I wanted to trow the proportins off a bit to make the character more interesting, but I overdid it and now it is just weird. Thanks for the observations and comment!"

uhm, other then that, it's a great pic. So the proportions might be a bit off, but the teqnique (SPELLING?! WTF?!) is godly.

Bruno, I'll try not to be harsh, but I adore every single one of your pictures but this one. It's just... wrong. The breasts are inumanly large, although she's too masculine to look like a female, and her hair isn't very well draped. You've been very careless with the female figure.
I'm sorry, I usually love your work to pieces, but this one I want to rip to pieces. I'm dissapointed, Bruno.

12 Bruno Krippahl replies: "Yep, it came out pretty wierd hehe. Let me try to explain a bit of the process here. I´m a huge fan of Simon Bisley, especially the way he manages to transform the proportions of the figures to give them incredible movement and power. He does exactly that with the female figures, but still manages to maintain grace and femininity. I tried to use the same technique in this picture but it didn´t come out right. Anyway, art is a never ending learning process, so I expect i´l be making a lot more crappy pieces as I try new aproaches and techniques.Thank you for commenting and come back often."
