SciFi and Fantasy Art: Skullhead

No, its not the god of piercings. I used Fimo modeling paste on all of the model, except the chains and the crystal hanging from his tongue, which is made from sinthetic resin (it has a small frog inside it, i found the poor thing dead by the pool) The paste is aplied over a wire structure and painted with a metalic powder, before it is hardened in the oven.

20 May 2002	Mikko S. Anttonen	Loading... I am very impressed! that thing look incredible ..Just my type of jewelry =) You should have to try make other version of that, in a "real" metal like bronze or silver etc. I cast a lot of stuff in bronze, but my works are a lot simpler than that.

19 Oct 2004	Lynn A. Davis	Loading... That is just amazing. Does the resin embalm the frog or do you have to worry about it getting cracked and allowing the frog to decompose? Bruno Krippahl replies: "As far as i can tell the frog is perfectly preserved, and the resin is intact."
