SciFi and Fantasy Art: Aa-Ron, Color

Right after I scanned in the B&W picture of Aa-ron (pronounced eh-ron), I played with it a bit. Suprisingly, the result was pretty good looking. This coloring was done with Paintshop Pro v4.0.

Original Size: 8.5 x 11 inches, colored w/ PaintShop Pro 4.0

Okay, no more ignorant comments.. I think it looks much better in color. Most definitely an interesting piece.

Okay, Before I say anything else, I have to admit his upturned nose just oh so adorable. Heh, but I do have a little problem with the color scheme. *ducks before raw vegetables are thrown at her* Problem being that Aa-ron, seems too blend into the background with all the neutrals you've used. YES I know it's night scene, but even the night can have vividness. Now I DO like the colors you've used I just think they need a little more *punch* Which is too say using a color recipe a friend gave me 70% neutral, 25% semi-neutral, and 5 % vivd color. This usually applies unless you're doing a fauve but don't get me started on fauves. *grin* ANYWAY what I'm saying that Even with the river cutting across the picture as a contrast, there isn't enough difference between the focal point and the background too make this a truly great picture. 1 I just have a funny way of expressing my admiration.

oooh! O.O yep color is everything. You should give it a 'dragonic' name *i mean another name, considering i name my dragons twice ^_^;* Maybe..errr....*thinks* "Brushe Dragon" *eepers* don't ask where i got the name from because I have no idea. O.o;

I think this guy should blend into the background. If he stands out some jerk Dragonslayer is going to try and skewer him.

I think that he looks like the kind of character who most people would think was a bad guy but the hero's would befriend and he would help save the day gaining the admiration of the populace. I like the name and the inspiration for it makes me laugh, because it was such a good idea I'm sorry I didn't think of it.
