SciFi and Fantasy Art: Traditions... Dance of the Autumn Elf

The thunder rolls, wind and rain conceal the tears of a creature beyond imagination. She cries for the tree spirits which silently cry out in pain as the night fades from a dull whisper to a roaring wake. 'Dance' they say, 'Dance for us so that we might feel the freedom and pleasure of detatchment.' The young elven girl wipes the tears from her cheek and stands to deliver. 'I will do it!' she says to herself in a whisper, 'I must...' she bagan the dance of Autumn as her mother and her grandmother before her had done. As she danced, she felt the freedom of the tree spirits as the leaves began to fall around her. The sound of the swirling leaves of oranges, reds, and yellows sang in harmony to her as she Danced on... Another tradition fullfilled... FYI-- The traditional chinese cloth she is wearing dates back thousands of years ago, close to 4000... Though it may still be seen today in china, it is a 'Traditional' formal clothing piece, and in this case, it was woven by her mother's mother for the 'traditional' Autumn dance, performed in honorable traditional clothing for her elven culture... ^_^

Artist, why did you with so much love and patience draw the elf, and then use the leaf Photoshop brush? It really kills the awe from this piece, making it look cheap. I`m sorry, if i have offended, but that`s how i feel. All the best

But there are certain standards that should be met, and if this is what Mod's has sunk to, then Elfwood has fallen low indeed. Also, it really bugs me that you've used a Chinese qi pao in this picture. What the hell were you thinking?
