| 27 Jan 2005 | Steven P. Love | Hello Lee. I've browsed your gallery before and I was curious; what happened to all of the previous comments that were here? Did the rude and obnoxious ones finally get out of hand? I've had to delete a few profanity laced ones myself. I am also curious about your art; is yours completely computer generated or is it hand painted with some computer enhancement. Except for my Alien Fan art mine is mostly a combination of photomanipulation and computer paint with some individual pencil drawn elements. Just curious since I've only been an Elfwood member for a few months and computer art is still new to me. Lee A. Alverson replies: "Yeah I did finally just delete them. Most comments were supportive or logically critical as in such as how i might do things differently. but the few bad apples really detracted from the experience that I or other artist might gain from. so to be fair they all had to go. As far as the art goes I do use a program called Poser. Now there will be those that will say it is not a tool or a medium for art since I'm not creating the meshes used only manipulating ones in the program. In answer to that all I can say is that the detail in each character is my creation since those are custom and not used or posessed by others. Largely I used to do pen and ink and then color in photoshop but that after a few years became too restrictive. I wanted to be able to have a scene that I could like an art director I could move the view and perhaps find a better angle that represented the feel i was looking for, something pen and ink cannot do or rather i could not. So after seeing a work from Donna Walitz here in EW I started my quest to learn poser. Which lead me to where I am now. I have managed to get myself published and moved from hobby artist to semi-professional. All of which would not have been possible without places like EW or rather EW as a starting point." | |

| 20 Dec 2005 | Aida Vicens | Hi there! I'm on a "walk" through all the galleries of elfwood, and just found yours. If (for some strange reason) you want to take a look at how's going the "foolish walk", take a look at http://wanderingelfwood.blogspot.com (a little "support", or some pats on my shoulder would be nice ^_~, not asking more xD).
Anyway, have a good day and keep on drawing!! | |
