SciFi and Fantasy Art: Broken Pieces

This was during my obsession with butterfly wings and putting them on people. It was also before I learned to properly do eyes. I still have problems with body parts.. (*sigh*). I couldn't think of anything to put behind her, and so I just filled it in with anything that came to mind. the writing on the right is in reverse.. I believe. :) Done completely with pencil on normal white printer paper, turned slightly blue whenever scanned onto the computer.

I like the writing in the background. Just kind of hovering there, as if we are to read it, but just out of sight.

Hey, I really like this... Especially the eyes! So piercing.... I just like the whole piece, it's very fascinating.

It was hard to pick one to comment on...but this one stuck out....you have a very graphical sense to your style and are great with all the detail...would love to see more figure drawings....this one is mysterious, bravo!

I hate to sound like an art snob, but as someone who is an educated artist, I find this piece horrific. I would say it was good if you did it when you were 9 years old. ADVICE- look at the way a face actually looks- don't just give me these childlike pictograms. You can tell you took your time with the negative space, so try to put a little time into observing the human figure (think tonally).
